Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 April 2026
This page explains every cookie set on fortunicacasinouk.co.uk — the name, who runs it, what it does, when it expires. There are 15 of them in total: three first-party essentials, six tied to Google services, two from Cloudflare, and four from affiliate networks. None of them carry your name, email or any payment information. None of them follow you off our site to sell adverts to you somewhere else. The full table sits below the explanations.
Cookies are small text files written by a website to your browser's storage. The browser sends them back on every subsequent request, which is how a site "remembers" things between page loads. Some are deleted the moment you close the tab (session cookies); others sit there for a defined period (persistent cookies). They cannot read other files on your device, install software, or contain executable code. Worth knowing — but not worth panicking over.
Cookie categories on this site
Strictly necessary
The bare minimum to keep the site working. Loading a page, remembering whether you have already accepted the consent banner, identifying you as a real visitor rather than a bot. Without these the site would still partly work, but with broken navigation. They are exempt from consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and run automatically.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4. We get aggregate, anonymised data — what reviews are read, how long someone spends on the page, which buttons get clicks. The IP-anonymisation flag is enabled, which means the last octet is dropped before Google stores anything. We use these reports to decide what to update next. If you decline the analytics category, none of these cookies are set and your visit leaves no trace beyond a 90-day server log.
Functional
Two of these. They remember small preferences like the language hint and any UI choices that survive across visits. Set only if you opt in.
Affiliate / advertising
When you press a "play" or "claim bonus" button on a casino review, an affiliate network records the click. The cookie that does this is set on the casino's domain, not ours, but for transparency we list the partners we work with. These cookies do not show you adverts, do not build a profile, do not follow you to unrelated sites. Their job ends as soon as the casino confirms (or does not confirm) your registration.

Third parties
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC)
We use GA4 in IP-anonymisation mode and have set data retention to 14 months — the platform default. Demographic and interest reporting is switched off. Google's terms apply at policies.google.com/privacy. To block GA across every site you visit, install Google's official Opt-out Browser Add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Cloudflare, Inc.
Cloudflare sits between your browser and our origin server. It blocks DDoS attempts, filters obviously malicious requests, and caches static assets so pages load faster. The cookies it sets are technical and short-lived. Privacy notice: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Affiliate networks
When you click through to a casino, the partner network drops a tracking cookie on its own domain so it can credit the referral if you go on to register. Common networks in our market include Income Access, NetRefer, BetConstruct Affiliates and the operators' in-house systems. The cookie contains a click identifier — not your name, your email or any account data. If the casino offers no-cookie tracking via server-to-server postbacks, we use that route instead. The full picture of how the affiliate model works — what we get paid, what changes (and doesn't change) in our reviews as a result — is on Affiliate Disclosure.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every modern browser lets you block cookies wholesale, block by category, or wipe what is already there. Direct links to the official documentation:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. Full guide: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Three modes: Standard, Strict, Custom. Guide: support.mozilla.org
- Safari (macOS) — Safari → Settings → Privacy. Cross-site tracking is blocked by default in modern Safari. Guide: support.apple.com
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies. Three blocking levels: Basic, Balanced, Strict. Guide: support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/manage-cookies
- iOS Safari — Settings → Safari → Block All Cookies / Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
- Android Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies.
You can also use the consent banner on this site to revisit your choices at any time. Look for the small "manage cookie preferences" link in the footer — clicking it reopens the banner with your previous selections pre-ticked.
What happens if you decline
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be declined; the site needs them to function and PECR allows them on that basis. If you decline analytics, the site behaves identically and we simply lose visibility into which articles you read — no big deal for you, a small editorial blind spot for us. If you decline affiliate cookies, the visit will not be credited if you sign up at a casino afterwards, which costs us a referral fee but does not affect the bonus or terms you receive at the casino. Functional cookies declined means the site does not remember language preferences between visits.
The full editorial output of the site — every casino review, every promotion explainer, every guide — remains accessible regardless of which categories you accept.
Updates to this Cookie Policy
When a new third-party tool is added or removed, this page is updated within 14 days and the "Last updated" date at the top changes. We do not push email notifications about cookie-policy changes; the banner re-asks for consent if a new category appears.
Questions about a specific cookie? Email [email protected]. The broader privacy framework — legal bases, retention, your UK GDPR rights — is covered on the Privacy Policy page. The general site rules (age verification, governing law, limitation of liability) sit on Terms and Conditions.
